Review Living La Vera

El Recuencano is one of the best rock pools in La Vera, and is located in the Garganta de la Hoz, a smaller river that flows into the Garganta de Minchones, in the mountains near Villanueva de la Vera. It is not difficult to reach, although the last 200m are a bit more complicated as one has to climb up by the rocky river side. But it is worth the effort, for its crystal clear water and ideal temperature. The rocks form a slide along which one can slide into the water, while for the more daring there's a side wall from which to jump in free fall.
